Solar panel installation in Leuven

A system sized to your consumption, so you use as much of your own electricity as possible.

Illustration of a house with solar panels on the roof

With solar panels you generate your own electricity and become less dependent on energy prices. Now that the digital meter has replaced the meter that ran backwards, it’s all about self-consumption: how much of your solar power do you use yourself, at the moment it’s generated? That’s why we design every system around your actual consumption.

How we work

  1. Free site visit. We look at your roof (orientation, pitch, shade), your electrical installation and your consumption profile.
  2. Custom design. We calculate the right number of panels and the inverter, and check whether a home battery or smart control makes sense.
  3. Fixed quote. Including panels, inverter, mounting, cabling, inspection and the expected yield.
  4. Installation. An average system is installed in one working day.
  5. Inspection and registration. We arrange the electrical inspection (AREI) and registration with the grid operator.

How much do solar panels cost?

A system of 9 to 11 panels (about 4 kWp) typically costs 5,000 to 7,000 euros installed, including the inverter and inspection. A home battery is optional on top. After the site visit you get a fixed price, with a realistic estimate of the yield and payback period.

Solar panels and a heat pump

Solar panels and a heat pump reinforce each other: the heat pump uses part of your solar power, especially when we make them work together smartly. Considering both? Then we design them together, so the system is the right size from the start.

Warranty and follow-up

Quality panels come with a product warranty of at least 15 years and a performance warranty of 25 years or more. The monitoring app shows you every day what your panels produce. If the yield drops, we’ll come and take a look. Periodic checks are part of our maintenance service.

Frequently asked questions

How many solar panels do I need?

That depends on your annual consumption, the orientation of your roof and your plans, such as a heat pump or an electric car. A household using 3,500 kWh a year typically needs 9 to 11 panels.

Are solar panels still worth it without a meter that runs backwards?

Yes, if the system is sized to your consumption. The more electricity you use yourself at the moment it's generated, the faster it pays for itself. On average, the payback period is 6 to 9 years.

Do I need a home battery?

Not always. A battery mainly makes sense if you're away during the day and use a lot of electricity in the evening. We calculate both scenarios for you.
