The question
A family with two working parents wanted solar panels but had doubts: their roof faces east and west, not south.

We spread twelve panels over both roof surfaces. That way production starts earlier in the day and continues later, exactly when the family is home. Smart control heats the hot water cylinder whenever there’s surplus solar power.
The result
